Large grant application from BCC for Foyers Stores Acquisition - Update

A Board meeting is taking place this evening in order for Directors of SFCT to consider the application and agree their recommendation. As the Chair of SFCT explained at the public meeting, this recommendation must then be referred to SSE for their consideration before the final decision can be confirmed.

We have just met with SSE and they have advised that we can expect a final confirmation from them early next week.

We fully appreciate how important this decision is for the wider community. Please be assured that we have been working extremely hard to progress this as quickly as possible, under very tight timescales and significant pressure, to reach a robust and timely outcome.

We please ask that Directors and staff are not approached regarding the outcome until it is formally and publicly announced, as this places them in a difficult and unfair position.
